Cozy Kitchen Merge

Cozy Kitchen Merge turns a tray of dishes into a placement puzzle. Put the next dish into an empty space and connect three or more matching dishes to create the next recipe. Connections can touch along a side or at a corner, so a diagonal neighbor can matter just as much as an item directly beside the new placement.

Check the next dish before choosing a space

Click or tap an empty spot on the tray to place the upcoming dish. The dish shown on the right of the counter goes next. Look at that preview before filling an opening: a space that completes a group now may also be the only useful place for the following item.

Before making a placement, count the matching dishes you can connect. Two nearby copies can become a merge when you add a third, but their position matters. Check diagonal relationships as well as horizontal and vertical ones. This gives you more possibilities than looking only for a straight line.

Protect your room to keep playing

The game ends when there is no room for the next dish. Preserving an empty space is therefore part of every scoring decision. A placement that adds points but leaves the tray crowded can create a harder problem on the following turn. Compare the score opportunity with the usable space it leaves behind.

Successful merges move you along a recipe ladder from one to ten. Rather than scattering identical dishes across the tray, try to preserve areas where a future matching item can connect them. Keep enough flexibility to handle the dish that actually arrives, instead of reserving the entire board for one hoped-for combination.

Spend Eat Tokens with a purpose

Every 100 points earns an Eat Token. The fork button lets you consume a dish to make room. Choose the dish whose removal improves the tray, rather than spending a token on an item that was not restricting your next move. An opening is most valuable when it also helps you organize the next matching group.
