Baldi s Basics v1.4.3

Baldi s Basics v1.4.3 turns an apparently ordinary school into a pursuit challenge. Your goal is to gather seven notebooks and then escape, while avoiding Baldi and dealing with the other characters in the building. The educational appearance is part of the horror theme; this is a game about navigating pressure, remembering routes and choosing when to use the items you find.

Seven notebooks, then a way out

Explore the school with the notebook objective in mind. Notice how classrooms connect to corridors and remember the route back from each room. A recognisable junction is a useful reference when a chase makes several similar passages difficult to distinguish. Collecting another notebook is progress, but it also leaves you needing a practical route onward.

The other characters and available items are part of the challenge. Learn what an encountered character actually does before building a plan around it, and consider the situation before spending an item. Keeping an item indefinitely is not automatically better than using it to get through a difficult moment. Equally, using everything immediately removes options you may want later.

Controls for this version

Use WASD to move, Shift to run and the left mouse button for actions. Space looks behind you. Practise looking back on a simple stretch of corridor so you can check behind without forgetting the direction in which you were travelling.

Make your next attempt more useful

Start by learning a small section of the layout instead of trying to memorise the whole school at once. Connect each notebook location you reach to a familiar landmark. If you are caught, identify the last place where you knew your route and the decision that made you lose it. On the next attempt, change that decision rather than wandering along another unplanned route.
