Choose a question for each setup: what happens if an object starts higher, approaches from another direction or meets something in a different position? Change that part while keeping the rest of the arrangement as similar as possible. Comparing two understandable setups is more revealing than changing everything at once.

The pixel graphics make this a playful setting for those experiments. Take time to watch the reaction after releasing an object; another input made immediately can hide what the first action did. If the scene becomes too busy to follow, simplify the next setup and concentrate on one interaction.
