Bloxorz

The game now available on this Bloxorz page is TideRoll: Block Puzzle. A wooden block must cross platforms floating over the ocean and finish standing in the destination hole. Getting beside the opening is only part of the solution: the block also needs the right orientation for the final roll. This version offers 150 levels, with sunny, rainy and snowy scenery.

Controls and the goal

On a computer, use the arrow keys or WASD to roll. On mobile, use the direction buttons shown on the screen. Watch how each input changes the block from standing upright to lying along the platform. Before moving near an edge, check where the whole block will land, rather than following only its leading end.

Orange tiles, switches and bridges

Fragile orange tiles cannot support an upright block. Approach them in a position that lets you cross lying flat. Switches and bridges add further route decisions, so inspect those parts of the board before committing to a narrow crossing. Use undo to revisit a mistaken move and compare another approach.

A useful way to plan a route

Start by examining the squares immediately around the goal. Work out which direction would let the block tip into the hole upright, then consider how to reach that approach. If a route brings you close but leaves the block lying the wrong way, revise an earlier turn instead of repeating the same sequence.
